In the middle of 2011 the International Valuation Standards Council approved a renewed edition of IVS. The work on the new edition of the Standards started back in 2006, when the Critical Review Group was formed to develop techniques for modification of the existing, for the time being, IVS edition for the purpose of bringing them in accordance with the requirements of the dynamically developing valuation market as close as possible.
The first session of the joint Working Group consisting of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies, BRK Leasing, the National Innovation Fund, the “Atameken” National Economic Chamber and the Kazakhstan Institute for Industry Development was held on June 30, 2011. The Working Group was to review projects of applicants for participation in the “Productivity 2020” Program. The project for construction of hydroelectric plants in Almaty Region consulted by “Baker Tilly Kazakhstan Valuation” LLP was approved and included in the “Productivity – 2020” Program.
The Regular Annual National Business Forum 2011 was held in Astana on February 28, 2011. This time the major topic for discussion was the issue of management of changes in Kazakhstan’s economy modernization process.
